Hannes Halldorsson's work
Hannes Halldórsson is a film director and a former professional football player. Originally from Reykjavik, for 15 years Hannes lived a double life as a filmmaker and professional footballer, playing in Norway, Denmark, Netherlands and Azerbaijan.
He was a member of the Icelandic national team where he was capped 77 times and appeared at UEFA Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
2021 he directed, co-wrote and co-edited his first feature film Leynilögga (Cop Secret) which was nominated for the Golden Leopard at the Locarno film festival and won the best first feature award at the Lubeck film festival.
